Excursions: Hacienda Barú
Hacienda Barú is a privat managed wildlife refuge with more than 750 acres and offers the following tours: Tree Climbing Tour: Scale up a rope that is fixed in the largest upper
branches of a rainforest tree with specialized equipment (approx. 82 feet). Time: 3 hours. Canopy Exploration Tour: Canopy Tour "Flight of the Tucan"
with 8 different cable rides, 14 land based platforms and one tree platform with views of the coast.
Time: 2-3 hours. The Bird Watching Tower and Lowland/Rainforest Birding HikesFurthermore there are 7 km of beautiful rainforest trails and a butterfly garden. Guided hikes through the rainforest The Rainforest Experience
